Services:
Screening and/or Consultation

A screening quickly assesses articulation, receptive/expressive language skills, social skills, voice/resonance skills, fluency skills, and more. A screening is typically completed in 30 minutes or less. During this time, one of our certified therapists will collect some background information, observe your child at play, and informally assess how well your child is producing some age-appropriate sounds, and demonstrating age-appropriate receptive and expressive language skills. The therapist will then recommend further evaluations and treatment, if needed. A screening may not be necessary if enough information is collected during an initial consultation.
Comprehensive Speech/Language Evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation formally assess articulation, receptive language skills, expressive language skills, social/pragmatic skills, voice/resonance, fluency skills, and more. Depending on your child and his/her skill level, an evaluation can take 60-90+ minutes. One of our certified therapists will collect background information, observe your child at play, and administer a formal, standardized measure to evaluate a variety of skills. The therapist will then score the measures and write a detailed report. If treatment is recommended, an individualized treatment plan will be included.
Articulation-Only Evaluation

An articulation evaluation formally assess articulation only. Depending on your child and his/her skill level, an articulation evaluation can take 30-60+ minutes. One of our certified therapists will collect background information, administer a formal/standardized measure to evaluate speech and articulation skills, and possibly record a language/speech sample. The therapist will also likely look in your child’s mouth, and ask them to perform a variety of oral-motor movements. The therapist will then score the evaluation measures and write a detailed report. If treatment is recommended, an individualized treatment plan will be included.
Treatment Session

Treatment sessions are one-on-one with a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, and typically last 30-45 minutes. Sessions may take place in your home, our clinic office, or in your child’s preschool/daycare classroom. Sessions are always individualized to meet your child’s specific needs, and engage your child’s interests. Goals and objectives are targeted through evidence-based therapy practices.
